The developer had an original design that was 6 million dollars over budget and desired to create a development that had 288 units that were affordable.

Scope of Work

The Challenge

RBA reviewed the original design and developed a concept that would be much more cost-efficient and be built using the Design-Build method of Construction. Using the same team, we had achieved success with at Fenwyck Apartments, we developed a new concept that utilized 4-sided Architecture. Used for the first time in the city, we married up garden-style apartments with townhomes. The garden-style apartments were accessed from the long sides of the building, and the townhomes were accessed from the short sides. This concept allowed for higher density and reduced costs dramatically.
