Virginia Beach Voter Registration

While working on a speculative office warehouse facility, the owner signed a lease with the City of Virginia Beach to host their voter registration facility. The facility needed to be complete for the upcoming election day, 8 months away.

Scope of Work

The Challenge

Working quickly to adapt the shell building, RBA developed an initial design working with the registration staff. The building was required to host all of the voting machines used during elections. Office space with areas for the general public to visit was also included in the design. A new recessed truck delivery area was added to the building. Both the exterior and interior of the building were completed in time for the elections staff to occupy.
